Following the announcement that Bill LeMonnier will be the Guest of Honour and Principal Speaker at our 2024 Convention and Training Weekend, the BAFRA Board are delighted to announce 2 further prominent guests, Tim Kiefer, and Alex Barinaga as part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations.
Davie Parsons, BAFRA President said, “Having Tim and Alex attend our Convention provides our members with a fantastic opportunity to learn from 2 very experienced clinicians who have officiated for many years in the NCAA.”
Alex Barinaga: Alex has over 20 years' experience as an official both at the NCAA Div I and Div II level working in the Gulf South, Sun Belt, and Southeastern Conferences. Additionally, Alex has worked six Division II playoff games including a national semi-final. As well as his on-field experience, he has represented the United States in six IFAF world championships at both the senior and U-19 levels. He has presented at several clinics internationally and recently transitioned to the Collegiate Officials Consortium as a replay official working In the Mid-American and Big Ten Conferences.
Tim Kiefer: Tim has 30 years' experience officiating football. Highlights from his career include College Football Consortium, Division 1 (COC) (2014 to 2021). He has been a certified Clinician since 2005.
Tim is also the founder of MIBTonline.com, a company dedicated to training the current and next generation of officials. They are the first ever recognized virtual officiating association in the US and have trained thousands of officials around the world.
