Referee's Signal Number 9 - Loss of Down

When used

This signal is used by the Referee to indicate that a foul by the offense has resulted in their losing the right to replay the down. It is always given in conjunction with and following another signal.

How executed

Begin with both hands held by your side and with an unhurried motion bring them simultaneously up until they touch the back of your neck.
