Birmingham Lions (NWFL) | 90-yard artificial field, well-marked in black. Changing rooms were a short walk from the field and not lockable, but otherwise a good facility. All three balls provided were below legal pressure. The home team had to un-kit a player, and the away team had to provide someone in order to fulfil the requirements for officials' assistants. Cheshire Bears (NWFL) | Prior to gameday, the Referee was advised that the field would be marked with cones. Emily from the Cheshire Bears did an amazing job utilising a number of lines from other sports to give a midfield line and goal lines, albeit in differing colours. The sidelines were marked with cones at intervals of one yard, using different colours to mark the 1-point and 2-point try positions. East Kent Mavericks | Kick-off delayed by 30 minutes as all the team and gameday medics were dealing with a player exhibiting cardiac symptoms. Once the ambulance was well on the way to the site, the game started, as the player was ready to be transported and under the supervision of team staff. Two changing rooms were provided for the mixed gender crew; however, they were not lockable and subject to some interruptions by players/coaches accessing the toilet facilities. 90-yard artificial field marked in blue, with other sport markings in yellow and white. Team areas were marked between the 25-yard lines. No numbers or nine-yard marks, but rugby lines were approximately in the right place and were used instead. East Kilbride Pirates | Team areas were marked between the 15-yard lines, but shortened using cones. One ball sprung a leak and had to be replaced before kickoff. Gordon Galloway #7 | Unknown |
Glasgow Tigers | Inbounds markings were not always aligned. Blue field markings. Eight-yard end zones. Clyde Valley had concerns about a person helping Glasgow with pregame coaching during warm-up that was not a member of their coaching staff. This was raised by CV to Glasgow during card check, and Glasgow advised that this person would not be in the team area during the game. London Olympians | 90-yard field, which has previously been marked as 100 yards, so some markings went five yards into each endzone. NFL-width hash marks were painted, with the correct width markings very faint and hard to see. London Warriors (NWFL) | Game played at the University of Greenwich. The field had not been repainted since the end of the BUCS season, and, as such, the inbounds markings were only visible when stood on top of them. This caused issues with spotting the ball. Changing rooms were located in the student's union and adjacent to the gym and were not lockable. There was one brief stoppage to repair the chain set. During the game, one game ball became illegal. Manchester Titans | Well-marked 90-yard field in black with other sports markings in various other colours. The changing room was more than adequate for a crew of eight (including refreshments), but without a private toilet or shower. The game was stopped twice in the first half to instruct the stadium PA to refrain from talking or playing music while the offense was in formation. The start of the second half was delayed by more than five minutes as the medical cover was dealing with a situation away from the field and the game could not resume until the handover to paramedics had been completed. Yorkshire Rams | 90-yard field. No limit lines. No three-yard marks, nine-yard marks, or numbers. Team areas incorrectly marked out between the 25-yard lines. The game balls required inflation prior to use. The changing room had no shower or toilet. David Hewitt #607 | Unknown |
