2025 ANNUAL EXAM

This is now live on the website and has a closing date of 23:59 BST on Saturday 26th April.  Please note that it is intended to publish the results on the afternoon of Thursday 1st May,  Whilst late entries are accepted after the closing date (with deduction of marks), none will be accepted after midday on 1st May.  Please note that this is a shorter period from the end of the exam than in previous years.

As in previous years, an audio version of the exam pdf is available.  If assistance is required to access this, please contact the exam committee via exam2025@bafra.info. Also, for the first time, this year a dyslexia-friendly printed version is available.  This may be downloaded directly from the Exam area of the website at: https://www.bafra.info/members/exams/index.php.

To remove any possible confusion, in the rubric where it states: “Unless specifically stated otherwise, assume the following for ALL questions:” please note that where point 8 states ” There is no Video Judge present” should be interpreted as there also being no instant replay available.

Please remember that all qualified members, including affiliate members protecting their qualified status, must attempt the exam to retain that status.

SELECTION COMMITTEE

Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in joining the BAFRA Selection Committee. The Board met over the convention weekend and made a decision primarily based on the need for a geographic spread on the committee, as well as officiating experience and general availability to observe other members on the field.

I am pleased to announce that Pete Thom and Jed Brookes-Lewis will be joining the Selection Committee from 2025.

As a reminder, details of the role of the Selection Committee, as well as what criteria is used during selections, can be found within the Scheduling and Selection policy within the BAFRA Members Handbook.
