RICHARD PRATTLEY #67
I am very sorry to report that long-serving member, Richard Prattley, passed away at the beginning of October. Richard joined BAFRA in 1985 and during his membership worked more than 1000 games in Britain. Amongst those were 23 Bowl Games (his first in 1987 and last in 2018) which included 8 National Championship games. A mark of his versatility was that he was selected for bowl games in six different positions. For a period of time in the 1990s, he was on the National Panel of officials.
In addition to his on-field presence, for some 20 years he was also the BAFRA accountant, a role he pursued with his usual diligence and integrity. He will be sadly missed by his BAFRA colleagues and the many friends he made across football in Britain. Our sympathies go to his wife, Rose, at this very sad time.
Paul Sutton – BAFRA Assistant General Secretary
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
As you are aware, we are now in the membership renewal period. Renewal forms have now been sent to all members. If you have not received yours please check your spam folder and if you still cannot find it, please contact me. Details of payments, which as always include the BAFRA and BAFA fees, will be on the form along with details on how to pay.
If you anticipate having difficulty in paying, please contact the Director of Finance (via finance@bafra.info) to discuss a payment plan. This will only be seen by the Director of Finance and his deputy in the strictest of confidence.
As always, there will be an annual survey of membership that goes along with the renewal process which you are requested to complete. Information gathered from this exercise is used to inform BAFRA policy going forwards.
